About
The adventure takes place in a dark, foreboding world where the boundaries between life and death are thin, and the whispers of ancient gods echo through the veil. Vecna, the Whispered One, stands on the cusp of apotheosis, seeking to claim dominion over all of existence by rewriting reality itself. The land is plagued by undead hordes, secret cults, and ancient artifacts linked to Vecna’s dark power.
The adventurers are called upon to stop the eve of ruin — the night when Vecna’s grand plan will be set into motion. A series of ominous portents have revealed that Vecna’s followers are on the verge of completing a ritual to fully return their dark lord to power, granting him dominion over both life and death.
The adventurers must race against time to prevent the Whispered One from regaining his godhood and reshaping the world into an eternal ruin, where all beings are either subjugated or erased from existence.
Meet our heroes
In a desperate gambit to thwart Vecna’s ascent to godhood, the Wizards Three — Alustrial, Mordenkainen, and Tasha — cast a mighty Wish spell, calling forth champions who might succeed where armies and legends had failed.
The multiverse answered... but not in the way they expected.
Instead of storied heroes or celestial champions, it was these unlikely souls who emerged — beings torn from their lives by fate's cruel whim, shaped by hardship, stubborn will, and a singular truth: they refuse to die.
Though not the heroes the Wizards Three anticipated, they have proven themselves in trials of horror, betrayal, and planar upheaval. Each step draws them closer to the Rod of Seven Parts — an ancient artifact powerful enough to challenge even the Whispered One himself. Their path is uncertain. Death follows their every step. And yet, somehow, they endure.
Whatever force plucked them from across reality, it may yet prove wiser than the wizards themselves.
